Lazy Penny is a design studio based in Austin, Texas by Sophie Benecick

Sophie’s life-long romance with vintage aesthetics and design stems from the rich history behind lived-in goods and spaces. A storyteller at heart, Sophie creates spaces that spark conversations for years to come.

Our process is both collaborative and personalized, ensuring that each project not only reflects the individuality of each space, but also embodies the laid-back yet creatively rich spirit of the 1970s.

We individually source unique furniture and decor items across the Western United States to design visually appealing spaces that ooze warmth and nostalgia.

Sophie currently resides in South Austin with her fur kids, Ozzy and Harley.
